Radian - The radian measure of an angle in standard position is the length of the arc along the unit circle from the point ( 1 , 0 ) on the initial side to the point P where the terminal side interests the Unit Circle.
That is the book's definition...
Honestly, Radian is just another form of degrees but cleaner and neat.
Radians and the Unit Circle relate in the aspect of Degrees. One radian or Pi is equivalent to 180 degrees on the circle. Which is half the circle if you were unfamiliar to degrees.
The Circumference of a circle and Radian Measure relate because of two Pi. The equation of circumference is C = r(2Pi) and if you understand radians.(2Pi) is 360 in degrees and Pi is 180 degrees.
Through this quick summary, I prefer both Radians and Degrees, using one of each in certain conditions. I struggle with radians, so translating it into degrees helps a lot. However, radians is cleaner and professional compared to degrees. So "Pure," I cannot say which is more pure than the other because I value both than one over the other.
